Our client, a leading auditing and accounting practice in Malta, is looking for an Auditor to join its dynamic team. As an Auditor, your primary focus will be familiarizing yourself with the firm’s practices, policies and culture whilst interacting with clients to help in acquiring a good knowledge of client’s business which will enable you to help the audit team efficiently.   

The chosen candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed audit reports, as well as performing audits of companies which includes inspecting and analysing books of accounts, records, ledgers, journals, income tax reports and accounting procedures. You will also need to execute day to day activities of audit engagements for multiple clients whilst informing your superiors of any auditing matters or problems. 

Reconciling of invoices and the closing of the AAD and establishing a continuing professional educational program to include in training sessions will also fall under your remit, as well as SAD, submission to the Customs Department and effecting payment. The successful candidate will also need to inform clients of amounts due to be paid to Customs Excise, Duty and VAT whilst assisting clients with queries regarding VAT, including any VAT inspections and submission of VAT returns, as well as preparing documents required, such as information for recap statements. You will also be responsible for the preparation of payroll, ETC forms, monthly FS5 and submission of FS7.

An Accountancy Degree or full ACCA qualification, together with prior experience within an accounting function or is needed for this role, as well as excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.So if you are self-motivated, dependable and have excellent organisational, good judgment and sound reasoning skills, we want to hear from you.
